· Many will go to college, perhaps Bible college, others will choose a tech school,
· some have skills to jump right into the work force,
· while a few will walk down the isle of marriage or start their own business.
This weekend we are the dish crew at Fort Wilderness, a Christian camp near our home. Last night happened to be the TruNorth banquet.
The banquet was the celebration of another class graduating from the “TruNorth internship”. The eight month long program covers: church history, world religions and worldview. It is an academic year, yet, from the slide show I could see they had a lot of fun too. There are at least three trips during the year. One is a camping/hiking trip, another is to Indiana for some Bible classes, while the last one is to Canada. Along with studies and trips the students also serve at the camp wherever needed.
This year there were four graduates. (there is an eight student max) With small class sizes this would be a great college prep year. Or a one year Bible school option that is easier on the pocketbook. One of the students last night said this had been the best year of her life. She had already finished four years of college, but felt this year was truly what she needed to prepare her for life on her own. All of the students said they grew in their Christian walks and understanding of what they believe and why.
