right next to hectic full schedules.
If there is one time of year we need a reminder to be still and
know that He is God, it is most likely in the month of December. Psalm 46:10a “Be still, and know that I am God;”
As we build toward Christmas, the day we set aside to remember
our Savior’s birth, let us also be sure to spend the time with Him that He so covets. This is not a guilt trip or a burden; it is encouragement to be refreshed. I John 5: 3 “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.”
Steal away if you have to. Make time to talk to your Heavenly
Father and to listen. Enjoy the truth of His Word that guides us and gives us wisdom for each day.
Really this is important, the days want to fly by, but our Savior invites us as James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
