The first stage is Girlhood, this time is full of fun, imagination, snuggles and giggles. A lot of time is spent with Mom talking, doing, relating and learning.
Next, is Ballerina, in this stage a girl realizes life takes work, discipline and focus—yet, through it all there is a deep desire to be beautiful and admired. When we think of a ballerina we think of a beautiful swan floating across the stage, yet, none of that is possible without the hard work, discipline and focus.
Somewhere in her late teens comes the Cheerleader time of life. Up to this time a girl has mostly been thinking about herself. At this point she wakes up and realizes it is not all about herself and her decisions do effect other people. Now she can start to truly care about other people and desires to make a difference.
This may also be when a girl starts thinking about wanting to help a man. Instead of focusing on being liked by a boy she yearns to help a man be all God has called him to be. Just like a cheerleader is there to encourage the players and to guide the fans to support their team, so a girl in this stage wants to encourage and lead others to be all God created them to be.
The Queen normally coincides with becoming a wife and mother. Her home is her castle and she reigns there while her husband is at work. All the while, she honors her husband King by following his desires while he is away. Just as a Queen is a very powerful woman and everyone in the castle obeys her, she still answers to the King and obey his decrees.
Lastly, at 60 plus a woman becomes a Sage. This is a time in life to choose to give back or to sit back and relax. After this many years of life we have an abundance of experiences and acquired wisdom to draw from and to share. The challenge is to share and not to waste all the insight the years have gathered.
At times a girl may feel further along and then realize she still is enjoying a previous stage. Don’t worry, stages overlap. There is no reason to rush through any stage. Allow God to do the maturing, His timing is perfect.
