Take one cup of cornstarch add to a bowl...
Take 2/3 cup of
water and add it to the bowl...
Mix with your hands-they will get messy a
bit and the "Liquid but Not" will harden-- then soften --then drip while you form and play with it.
It comes off with a little soap and water!
Goop is fun to make. Mix the ingredients and allow children to
play with it awhile.
After a time, say,“Here I have something I want to show you. This goop has a wonderful God lesson to teach us.”
“Watch me try and grab the goop with both hands. As I try to grasp it in my hands it flows out between my fingers. This is like our trying to grab all the world has to offer. What looks worth reaching for only leaves us empty handed. This world is temporary and fading away.”
I Cor. 7: 29-31 “What I mean, brothers, is that the time
is short….live as ….those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.”
“Now look what happens when I make a fist and hit the goop. The goop is solid, a firm foundation. What the world views as slippery and weak, is really our rock. Jesus wants us to stand on Him our solid rock, our firm foundation.”
I Peter 2:8 “’A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.’ They stumble because they disobey the message..which is also what they were destined for.”
II Timothy 2:19“Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription; ‘The Lord know those who are His,’
and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
