This disappointment was the first in a series of glitches in our one child’s life. After many conversations and prayers, she was feeling it was all the people in her life that were the problem. I said to her, “Honey, I don’t think you are really struggling with other people, you are struggling with being flexible.” She almost started crying.
“I have been praying to be flexible, but I didn’t think it would look like this,” she admitted.
Oh mothers, don’t we do the same thing? We pray for patience in the morning and expect it to be a gift, not a growing experience. God is faithful! He knows how to make us stronger. He knows, better than we, how to accomplish His purposes in our lives.
Keep praying, and then accept each circumstance as from God’s hand. He is in control—now that is good news.
