In Ephesians chapter one vss. 16-20, Paul tells us how he prays for the Ephesians and it is an amazing outline for how we can pray for our children too. Read the verses yourself, I am only going to highlight what jumped out to me. Our children need us to stand in the gap for them; they are never too young or too old. Moms we must pray!!
Vss. 16-17a: do not stop giving thanks for your children; always remember them in your prayers; and keep asking
Vss. 17b-19a: tell us what to ask for:
-God will give them Spirit of wisdom and revelation…SO….they may know Him better
-Their hearts will be enlightened….IN ORDER….
to know the hope of God
to know the riches of their glorious inheritance
and to know His great power for us who believe
Vss. 19b-20: this is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead!!
Today I am praying for my whole family to be filled with God’s wisdom, hope and power! I beg, like Paul did for the Ephesians, for them to have enlightenment to see God and beyond the surface. Also to KNOW their hope is in their inheritance. And lastly, I thank the Lord for His power flowing through His Spirit that lives in us, so we can rely on His strength and not our own.
