Testament? I have. I want to bless others, but especially my children, with God’s true blessings. Here are some thoughts I had after reading Numbers 6: 24-25
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine
upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face to you and give you peace.”
This is how Aaron and his sons were told to bless the Israelites,
the “children of God”—what about the children of Todd? Who can give a blessing? Can any parent bless their children?
Vs. 27 says, “So they will put My name on the Israelites, and I
will bless them.”
THAT is what I want for our children too. I want them to have the
Lord’s name on them, to be marked, set apart. Also, I desire the Lord’s blessing for them. Unlike the Israelites we have the gifts of God’s Spirit in us—that is the greatest blessing we could have.
Unfortunately, we still have difficulty hearing the voice of God’s Spirit and hearing God’s voice is the blessing I pray for our children. So not only do I think we CAN pray blessings on our children, I think we MUST pray blessings on our children.
