Although we care and we hurt with others, we cannot carry their
load. What we can do is intercede, pray on their behalf. The wonderful thing is that even when we don’t know what to pray the Spirit understands our groans and intercedes for us.
I have a friend whose husband left her for another woman. This
wife is clinging to the Lord and fighting for her marriage. It has been several months now and she is getting weary. So today I am asking any of you that would be willing, to join me in prayer for her situation.
Until recently, I was praying specifically for her to be strengthened and for him to be broken. Please, pray as you feel led, but if you want to join me in my prayer, I am now praying God sends a big fish to swallow this man. He is running from God and like Jonah he needs to be stopped and given some time to realize what he is doing and to repent.
Whatever the big fish is that God wants to use I am praying it
holds him until he is willing to turn from his sin and again honor God, even if it is a strike to his pride. Only then, do I pray the big fish spits him back out to head toward reconciling what has been damaged.
Thank you dear sisters, for entering into this battle that is not
your own; you may call him “A” if you like to have a name when you pray.
II Corinthians 1: 10b-11 “On Him we have set our hope that He
will continue to deliver us (them), as you help us (them) by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our (their) behalf for the gracious favor granted us (them) in answer to the prayers of many.”
