Picture this scene; you’re driving along together, after glancing out your window your dream boat says, “Don’t look at that man working in his yard.” Of course you look, the man is bending over weeding his flowers while sharing a half moon with anyone who passes by. You giggle and playfully slap the man of your dreams arm while saying, “Stop it, I didn’t want to see that.” He banters back, “I told you not to look.” You giggle again and admit that is true.
Unfortunately the same scene a few years after the wedding vows have been declared is rarely as playful. Again you’re driving along together, after glancing out your window he says, “Don’t look at that man working in his yard.” Of course you look, the man is bending over weeding his flowers while sharing a half moon with anyone who passes by. You glare at your man and snap, “I don’t want to see that! When are you going to grow up?” Sheepishly the man you’ve verbally slapped states, “I told you not to look.” You just grunt and stiffen your back against him.
Where did the giggles go ladies? Why do we want to beat up our man when he is trying to have fun with us?
Please, please, bring back the giggles!
