Last week she was picking up around the house and asked her daughter to take something to her room and set it on her chair. Her daughter responded, “You mean the chair you use to pray in?”
This little darling’s innocent comment awakened this mom to how
the school year and busy routine had robbed her of this important time. Plus, the mom was made aware of how much little eyes do see.
It is not a prayer chair that matters, it is that we pray. Yes,
life is busy, but we can’t let the urgent rob us of what is really important.
If you have little ones needing you from sun rise to sunset, don’t let that keep you from talking with Jesus as you walk along through out the day. If the actual sit and read time seems like a luxury you cannot afford, then grab one verse and meditate on it all day long. God’s word is powerful; hiding one verse at a time in your heart like this may be the richest season of your life.
