Now she has five children with the sixth due in six months.
Her and her little brood came to visit this past week while my husband was out of town. We had hopes of refreshing her; helping her with her children and perhaps even a little pamper. Over all I think we were successful, yet, with five small children, even with lots of extra hands, there were certain things that could not be left undone and could only be done by her.
Miss Diana is a wonderful, consistent mom. As much as we are crazy about each one of her children they still needed correcting. Most of the time it was small things, and because she was willing to deal with the “little” things, even while she was on vacation, she had very few big things to deal with.
I could sit here and sing this young mom’s praises because I love her deeply, yet, she has the same exact insecurities every other mom I know has. I asked what she does to keep the vision going for what she is doing day in and day out. One thing she mentioned is a Mom’s Time her church has every other week. She NEEDS that boost, that reminder.
Another thing that helps her is rubbing shoulders with other young moms that are purposeful in their mothering. She has one friend in particular that she connects with regularly and they ask how each other are doing and spur one another on. She knows this friend will fall on her knees for her if she just calls or texts asking for prayer.
Moms this mothering calling is truly amazing, yet, it is completely down played by this world. You must keep yourself charged by whatever means necessary. But when I say whatever means I mean Biblical means. Be careful sweet mom what you read or listen to, there are many false philosophies that will discourage rather than build you up.
