This unknown mom said, “No, there is no middle leader, only me, you need to follow me.”
Although I didn’t hear the child proclaim that she was the “middle leader” I can imagine the scenario. Mom said, “Follow me, I am the leader.” Little girl in tow said, “Ok, I am the middle leader, little brother can follow me.”
This plays out day after day in families, Mom declares her leadership and children declare theirs.
But that doesn’t work! Multiple leaders lead to mutiny. Like the Mom above we need to take a stand and say “No, there is no middle leader, only me, you need to follow me!”
